does the single player story mode have all 3 races?

Originally they said they were gonna split it, but then I saw in the desc that it has 29 single player missions?

It's just the Terran campaign. But the campaign is more than long enough to count as a "full" game. It's not like the original where there's only 10 missions per race.

does the campaign give you the chance to play and try all 3 races at least? also, is there any word on when or even if the other 2 races campaigns will be coming out?

From what I have seen there is no option to play as the other races yet. I mean I am only on like level 7 and there is 25? or 26? I think.
Each mission has its own before and after cinematic it would seem. With several other optional cinematic between levels when on the base ship.

I also did not realize there were different technologies that you choose between to upgrade troops and or equipment similar to a talent tree. Only difference is once you pick one there is no changing it.

Well it looks like there are some missions that can be done where you actually play as protoss. Not sure if there are similar ones for the zerg but you do seem to get some exposure.

It's also not 100% linear. You can choose between different missions a few times, but I believe you can always go back and finish the missions you chose not to do (or "skipped").

I am really enjoying the challenges part of the game. It's in the single player mode, but it is not the storyline. You click on the "challenges" (might be called something else) and you get these mini-games to complete for acheivement points.

I just picked up SC2 today. Haven't played multiplayer yet cause I suck so much ass, but I'm working my way through the campaign and the challenges. The challenges are actually quite fun.

One of these days we need to gather up an all-Sigil group in SC2. My name.code is Tritium.420 (heh, 420)...come find me if you want an easy win.

There are 4 missions where you play as Protoss. This is Zeratul's story that motivates Jim Raynor's actions at the end of the game. The rest are all Terran based. Achievements in this game are more compelling than WoW for me. I unlocked Zeratul's portrait so people know what's up online.

And damn, Eleazar, Dartmouth. I play Protoss and I wouldn't mind finding a partner(s) since my friend that I was planning to play 2v2 has IT issues in his apt.
